We are pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Michael Kennett, M.D. to our practice. Dr. Kennett is a Midland native, graduating from Midland High School. Dr. Kennett is currently accepting new patients.

Dr. Kennett attended Ohio State University medical school, completing his residency at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital – Corewell Health, Grand Rapids, Michigan. Dr. Kennett was part of the nationwide American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) research & development initiative implementing the updated 2022 American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Guidelines for Treatment of Obesity in Pediatrics, while in resident clinic at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Kennett is a true humanitarian with the unique ability to identify societal need and step up to lead solutions, as demonstrated with his involvement in developing educational plans for health issues with the Somali Health Initiative & Nutrition Education (SHINE) program, Columbus, Ohio.

Dr. Kennett was awarded the Gold Humanism in Medicine from Ohio State University School of Medicine, recognizing his compassion & empathy in patient-centered care. Dr. Kennett’s honors include nominations for both the Dr. Laurence Feenstra Outstanding Award in Teaching, and Dr. John MacKeigan Outstanding Award for Humanism, Corewell Health.

Dr. Kennett both professionally & personally exemplifies our mission to provide our patients & their families with the highest quality and most comprehensive pediatric/adolescent care possible, from birth through college years.
